Painting in the Corner

Galeria Foksal [Foksal Gallery], Warsaw,
Spring 1971

In a corner of Foksal Gallery clean cardboards were prepared with a piece of paper in the middle reading: “an impellent spot”. Warpechowski sat on the floor with his back to the wall and started drawing, flailing his hands in the air. His gestures, as well as the lines were limited by his anatomy, so he drew where he could reach.
